Neil Young. Tell Me Why

This great song from 1970's After The Goldrush album seems to lend itself to great conversation on the simplicity of a beautiful chord arrangement that is perfectly matched with lyrics that offer much to the mind to sit and ponder the complex times in folks every day lives.
This song is timeless as are many songs by legendary Canadian and long time Californian rocker Neil Young.

  1. Yes that may be so (and it is one of my favorite Neil songs to play) but Neil himself stopped playing the song due to the lack of sensibility in the lyrics, and the song had been criticized many times because of the non-sensical ramblings, (“when you’re old enough to repay but young enough to sell”) however, one should not judge the song so harshly due to the fact that is was intended to accompany a film entitled After the Gold Rush, and when writing the song Neil could’ve been drawing on inspiration projected by the film.
The film: was never finished or released, but the album remains one of the greatest albums ever made.
